If you are visiting the city of San Francisco, you can stop by the Lucasfilms offices in Presidio National Park. The Lucasfilms headquarters campus is located here, making it an easy visit for anyone in the city. The lobby is open to the public, and visitors are welcome to have a look around. Any Star Wars fan will want to make this part of their itinerary.
As you approach the main entrance off Letterman Drive, you’ll see the Yoda water fountain in front of the lobby. It’s a very cute statue, and a great place to grab a photo.
Once you enter the main lobby, you’ll see a number of cool props and memorabilia. Many of these are from the Star Wars franchise, but include other films as well. This includes statues of R2D2 and Darth Vader, as well as a screen-used light sabre, and a number of posters and artwork on display.
The lobby is small and it won’t take you long to see it. However you can spend some time exploring the beautifully manicured grounds as well, as the campus has a number of buildings. You can explore the whole Presidio and get great views of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge. If you have time, the Lucasfilms offices are close to The Walt Disney Family Museum, which is also well worth a visit.
