The Fosters was a drama series which aired from 2013 to 2018. It is one of the first series to feature a lesbian couple as the matriarchs of a family. The couple has 5 children who are experts at making bad decisions and causing drama. The series debuted on ABC Family, which was later renamed to Freeform.
The show was set in San Diego, however it was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood. In addition, the show used a house in Long Beach for exterior shots. This house is located in a residential area, and was seen numerous times throughout the series. In the series finale in 2018, the final scenes of the series were filmed on location at the house.

In the season 1 episode Padre, The Fosters filmed at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood. This church has is a frequent filming location in the Hollywood area. It has been featured in a lot of TV series, including Young Sheldon and The Office, amongst others.
