Love Simon is a 2018 teen romantic comedy about Simon, a high school student who develops feelings for a guy he meets online. In addition to this relationship, he has to deal with the prospects of coming out to his family and friends.
A follow-up TV series, Love Victor, debuted in 2020 on Hulu and Disney+. While the show focuses on a new lead character, Simon does make a couple appearances on the series. You can check out the Love Victor filming locations here.
Simon’s House
Love Simon was shot in the Atlanta area. The house used for Simon’s home is located at 2375 Havenridge Dr. Interior and exterior shots were both done at the house. Filming also took place along the street and in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately, when I visited, it was pouring rain. But that didn’t stop me from snapping a few photos.
The School
The exterior school shots were filmed at Atlanta International School, located at 2890 N Fulton Dr NE, not far from Simon’s house. The front of the school as well as the parking lot were used throughout the film. Remember to follow my guidelines when visiting any school.
Waffle House
A significant scene features Simon and his friends at a Waffle House, which makes sense, considering how many Waffle House locations there are in the Atlanta area. This location was used for both interior and exterior filming.
