Later in the seventh season, Cheryl gives birth to twins Gordon and Jonathan. Also in the cast are Kimberley Williams-Paisley as Dana and Larry Joe Campbell as Andy. The plot mostly revolved around Jim, the owner of a construction company. He would often get into awkward situations that he would need to find his way out of.
Jim’s House
Jim and his family live at 412 Maple Lane in Chicago, Illinois. Despite being set there, the series was filmed at Radford Studio Center, located in Studio City, California. While the studio doesn’t have a large backlot, there are a number of houses located along My Three Dads Street. One of these houses was used as the family home on According To Jim. The house was used for establishing shots throughout the eight seasons of the series. As the house is located on the studio lot, a number of scenes were filmed in front of the house as well.
Radford Studio Center is a popular studio for sitcoms. It has been home to Seinfeld, Will and Grace, Leave It To Beaver, American Housewife, and many more. It has a series of soundstages, offices, catering, a workshop, and a New York backlot street. Despite having sold the studio, CBS News still uses the lot as their Los Angeles base.
