Debuting in 2023, Erin & Aaron is a children’s sitcom featuring a blended family where two of the children are musicians. The series features Ava Ro as Erin Park and David S. Jung as her dad, Chuck Park. In the series premiere, they are joined by Larisa Oleynik as Chuck’s new wife, Silvia Williams, along with Jensen Gering as her son Aaron and Pyper Braun as daughter Natasha. The show is produced by Nickelodeon and is also available in some regions on Netflix.
The series is set in Asbury Park, New Jersey, but is filmed in Hollywood. I haven’t been able to determine exactly which studio the show is filmed at. IMDB lists the location as Paramount Studios. However this article from the Santa Monica Daily Press says the show is filmed at the same studio as Days Of Our Lives, which is the Burbank Studios. If I can confirm 100%, I’ll update this page.
The Park/Williams House
Despite not knowing which studio the show was filmed at, I did instantly recognize the house used on the show. The house is located on the Colonial Street at Universal Studios. This area of the backlot is commonly known as Wisteria Lane, as it was used for filming Desperate Housewives. On that show, it was Karen McClusky’s house.
If you want to see the house, all you need to do is visit Universal Studios. The theme park operates a studio tour as one of it’s attractions. You can take a 1 hour tram ride, which visits various areas of the working studio. It often visits Colonial Street, as long as it isn’t being used for filming. They also offer a VIP tour, which is expensive but worth the money if you can swing it. You’ll get to visit the studios on a longer tour in a small group.
Larisa Oleynik
Viewers may recognize Larisa Oleynik from her extensive career. She came to prominence in another Nickelodeon children’s show, The Secret World of Alex Mack. She continued by starring in movies like The Babysitters Club and 10 Things I Hate About You. Larisa also continued on television in recurring roles on 3rd Rock From The Sun, Mad Men, and Hawaii Five-o, and now returns in a starring role here on Erin & Aaron.
Several years ago when I was working on cruise ships, Larisa and her family came on board for a cruise in the Mediterranean. As a fan, I was hoping to meet her, but it’s a big ship and as crew, we couldn’t really go looking for someone either. However on the last night of that cruise, I was walking through the lobby and she walked in as well. I couldn’t resist saying hello and telling her I’d been a big fan for years. She was very sweet and we ended up chatting for a while. I asked for a photo, and I think her expertise in show business kicked in, as she picked out the best spot in the lobby to take the photo.
